At USA-TURK.com, we value your privacy. We would like to earn your trust and positive feedback! We do NOT share any information about you with anybody or with any organizations without your approval/authorization.
USA-TURK’s mission is to build user’s trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices. This privacy statement covers the site www.USA-TURK.com and its directly associated domains.
We built USA-TURK.com to make it easy to share information and experiences in the U.S. with other USA-TURK website members and visitors who may or may not be registered members. We understand you may not want everyone in the world to have the information you share on USA-TURK; that is why we give you control of your information. Our default privacy settings limit the information displayed in your profile to your networks and other reasonable community limitations that we tell you about.
USA-TURK follows two core principles:

USA-TURK helps you share information with other USA-TURK members. You choose what information you put in your profile, including contact and personal information, pictures, interests and groups,m discussion topics you join. You will benefit being a member as you provide information on yourself and your experiences. You do not have to provide a lot of private information to share your experiences and help others. Please take caution when providing personal information, choosing user names, passwords, contact information and any other information that you wish not to be made available to others. Although it is at your discretion to provide private information to other users and visitors when using forums, blogs, articles, and other services/channels we advice that you use usernames/nicknames and do not provide any mailing address, telephone numbers, email addresses openly which you do not want to be made available to other users and visitors when using our site and it services such as when you are posting a comment on a forum discussion board etc.
2. You should have access to the information others want to share.
There is an increasing amount of information available out there, and you may want to know what relates to you, your friends, and people around you. We want to help you easily get that information.
Sharing information should be easy. And we want to provide you with the privacy tools necessary to control how and with whom you share that information. When you update information, we usually keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information.

If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a friend about our site, its content of any kind, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as your friend’s email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email or instant message inviting him or her to visit the site. USA-TURK stores this information to send this one-time invitation, to register a friend connection if your invitation is accepted, and to track the success of our referral program. Your friend may contact us directly to request that we remove this information from our database.

Service, YOU AGREE TO OUR COLLECTION, USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE INFORMATION YOU SUBMIT TO US FOR US TO HELP YOU CONNECT WITH A SCHOOL(S)/EDUCATIONAL ORGANISATION(S)/ENTITY(IES)/INSTITUTION(S) ETC. IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THAT MAY BEST MEET YOUR SCHOOL SEARCH CRITERIA. THIS SCHOOL(S)/ORGANISATION(S) ETC. MAY BE INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT YOU IN ORDER TO RECRUIT YOU AS THEIR PROSPECTIVE STUDENT, AND THEREFORE MAY CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY OR THROUGH ONE OF OUR COMMUNICATION CHANNELS/TOOLS/SERVICES BY USING THE INFORMATION YOU SUPPLY TO USA-TURK.COM IN ORDER TO INFORM YOU ABOUT THEIR PROGRAMS, ADMISSION/APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS, AND/OR OTHER SERVICES/PRODUCTS.
When you use our Communication tools allowing you to hear from USA Schools, Program Providers etc. such as when you use our Be found! Let Schools Find You! service, we will share your information only with organizations/institutions such as ESL Schools, Community Colleges, Colleges/Universities, and any other educational groups/entities/organizations etc. in the USA who may contact you to provide you with more information on their programs and/or services upon reviewing your school search criteria when you use our Be Found! Let Schools Find You! service.
USA-TURK.com’s Be Found! Let Schools Find You! service is a unique and innovative way to get started with your school search process. There are more than three thousand colleges and university in the United States of America, and thousands of community colleges as well as ESL (English as a Second Language) schools and other training programs. But which one is right for you? How will you learn more about them? Where do you find them? As you see finding the right school can be quite complicated and time consuming! With our Be Found! Let Schools Find You! service you supply us (USA-TURK.com) with some information about you and your educational goals! For example, you tell us what type and level of educational program you are interested in? You may be asked to let us know which U.S. city(ies)/state(s) you would like to live while pursuing your studies? You even let us know how much you or your financial sponsor can afford to spend per year for you to have the education you want! We may also ask you additional questions such as your self-reported test scores, for example we may ask you to let us know your TOEFL score(s), GMAT, GRE scores if you took either one of these exams, or took a sample test! In return we ask U.S. schools, educational institutions/organizations to review your information and encourage only the ones that think they best meet your criteria/needs to contact you using the information you supply to us!
This way, while you rest, we work for you! Schools who would like to learn more about you, and/or whom would like you to learn about them will in return contact you using the contact information you provide in our online/off-line form.
Please remember that under no circumstances USA-TURK.com guarantees that you will be contacted by a school that meets all of your requirements, nor it guaranties that you will be contacted by any school at all. USA-TURK is not to be hold liable, responsible if you are not contacted by any school/program/organization etc. or if you are not contacted by any school that meets your needs/criteria. The communication between you and the schools, educational institutions, and/or organizations are between you and them. We are not responsible for the correctness, accuracy, or any other part, promise, message, content etc. shared between you and the school etc. as a result of the communication correspondence entered into.
When you begin receiving schools’ messages you will need to take the time and review the information they sent you, visit their websites and even ask more questions to make sure that you are doing your best to identify the best school option for yourself.
Our staff may also contact you using the information you supply in order to provide you with advice to facilitate your school search process, promote programs and other services to help you!
We may also collect your telephone number, gender, ethnicity, self-reported grade point average, self-reported test score(s), and intended major, desired location of study etc. We use this information to, once again, help you find your future USA school, training program and other appropriate educational organizations. By using your information we ask schools/program providers/educational institutions/organizations etc. to review your school search / educational goal criteria/needs and encourage the ones that think they may best meet your needs to contact you. We may also collect contact and other information from you if you choose to participate in one of our contests or apply for a scholarship/program of study through us, participate in our surveys/polls, contact us; or otherwise voluntarily submit information to us including in our online communities such as blogs/articles/forums/groups etc.
You may always choose to ask us to permanently delete the information you may provide to us, via one of our online or offline forms (does NOT include forums, blogs, articles, and comments) so that you no longer be in our school search/recruit me/let schools find you/I want to be contacted by schools/Be Found! Let Schools Find You! program etc. database/services. If you wish to do so please email us by using the contact form available on our web page/site.
We will help you and your future school and or program options connect with each other! The rest is up to you by choosing the school that seems to best meet your needs and educational goals you will be on your way to study in USA!
At USA-TURK.com, your privacy is our main concern. We understand and respect that you trust us with your personal and private information to help us match you with a school(s) or training program(s) that can best meet your school search criteria/needs when using our Be Found! Let Schools Find You! Service. Under no circumstances USA-TURK.com will sell or share any personal/private information about you to or with any person or organization except when it is authorized by you, to participating schools, training programs, or educational institutions and other organizations. You provide us with this authorization when subscribing to a specific service that requires such permission, and/or requires you to agree to our rules and regulations as described by the specific service we may provide, or here in this document/site/page titled Privacy Policy. Similar to the rules and regulations that apply to use of our Be Foud! Let Schools Find You! service (as describd above) we may have other services that may require you to share information with us to be shared with a specific service provider. for instance, you may choose to provide us your contact information to receive information from a Specific School, Travel Agency, Recruitment Agency etc. When you complete one of our services as exampled here, we will share the information you submit with the appropriate service providers as required to complete your request of requestion further information from such organisation/service provider.
If you do not agree to our Rules and Regulations, Conditions that apply to your use of USA-TURK.com and its services, to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, please do not use USA-TURK.com. When you register with USA-TURK, you create your own profile and privacy settings. Your profile information, as well as your name, email and photo, are displayed to people in the networks specified in your privacy settings this includes forums, blogs, articles etc. to enable you to connect with people on USA-TURK. We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered by USA-TURK that we think you may find valuable.
Profile information is used by USA-TURK primarily to be presented back to and edited by you when you access the service and to be presented to others permitted to view that information by your privacy settings. In some cases where your privacy settings permit it (e.g., posting to your wall), other USA-TURK users may be able to supplement your profile, forum, bog, article content etc.
Profile information you submit to USA-TURK will be available to users of USA-TURK who belong to at least one of the networks, topics etc. you allow to access the information through your privacy settings (e.g., school, geography, friends of friends, or forum users group etc.). Your name, network names, and profile picture thumbnail will be available in search results across the USA-TURK network and those limited pieces of information may be made available to third party search engines. This is primarily so your friends can find you and send a friend request. People who see your name in searches, however, will not be able to access your profile information unless they have a relationship to you (friend, friend of friend, member of your networks, member of same groups, forums, blogs, articles etc.) that allows such access based on your privacy settings.
USA-TURK may send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service. For instance, if a friend sends you a new message or poke, or someone posts on your wall, or someone responds to a forum/blog/article etc. entry you are part of you may receive an email alerting you to that fact.
Generally, you may opt out of such emails from the settings / notifications / options pages, though USA-TURK reserves the right to send you notices about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications.
USA-TURK may use information in your profile without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as aggregating how many people in a network like a band or movie and personalizing advertisements and promotions so that we can provide you USA-TURK. We believe this benefits you. You can know more about the world around you and, where there are advertisements, they’re more likely to be interesting to you. For example, if you put a favorite movie in your profile, we might serve you an advertisement highlighting a screening of a similar one in your town, or with your interest. But we don’t tell the movie company who you are.
We may use information about you that we collect from other sources, including but not limited to newspapers and Internet sources such as blogs, instant messaging services, USA-TURK Platform developers and other users of USA-TURK, to supplement your profile. Where such information is used, we generally allow you to specify in your privacy settings that you do not want this to be done or to take other actions that limit the connection of this information to your profile (e.g., removing photo tag links).
USA-TURK is about sharing information and experiences with others — friends and people in your networks — while providing you with privacy settings that restrict other users from accessing cetain parts of your information. We allow you to choose the information you provide to friends and networks through USA-TURK. Our network architecture and your privacy settings allow you to make informed choices about who has access to your information, although it is your responsibility to determine how much information you would like to share. We do not provide contact information to third party marketers without your permission. We share your information with third parties only in limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is 1) reasonably necessary to offer the service, 2) legally required or, 3) permitted by you. For example:
· Your News Feed and Mini-Feed may aggregate the information you provide and make it available to your friends and network members. You may set your preferences for your News Feed and Mini-Feed using tool provided.
· Unlike most sites on the Web, USA-TURK limits access to site information by third party search engine “crawlers” (e.g. Google®, Yahoo®, MSN®, Ask®). USA-TURK takes action to block access by these engines to personal information beyond your name, profile picture, and limited aggregated data about your profile (e.g. number of wall postings). Although full content of a forum entry, blog entry, article entry etc. may be completely available to such services/programs.
· We may provide information to service providers to help us bring you the services we offer. Specifically, we may use third parties to facilitate our business, such as to host the service at a co-location facility for servers, to send out email updates about USA-TURK, to remove repetitive information from our user lists, to process payments for products or services, to offer an online job application process, or to provide search results or links (including sponsored links). In connection with these offerings and business operations, our service providers may have access to your personal information for use for a limited time in connection with these business activities. Where we utilize third parties for the processing of any personal information, we implement reasonable contractual and technical protections limiting the use of that information to the USA-TURK-specified purposes.
· If you, your friends, or members of your network use any third-party applications developed using the USA-TURK Platform (”Platform Applications”), those Platform Applications may access and share certain information about you with others in accordance with your privacy settings. You may opt-out of any sharing of certain or all information through Platform Applications on the related page. In addition, third party developers who have created and operate Platform Applications (”Platform Developers”), may also have access to your personal information (excluding your contact information) if you permit Platform Applications to access your data. Before allowing any Platform Developer to make any Platform Application available to you, USA-TURK requires the Platform Developer to enter into an agreement which, among other things, requires them to respect your privacy settings and strictly limits their collection, use, and storage of your information. However, while we have undertaken contractual and technical steps to restrict possible misuse of such information by such Platform Developers, we of course cannot and do not guarantee that all Platform Developers will abide by such agreements. Please note that USA-TURK does not screen or approve Platform Developers and cannot control how such Platform Developers use any personal information that they may obtain in connection with Platform Applications. · We occasionally provide demonstration accounts that allow non-users a glimpse into the USA-TURK world. Such accounts have only limited capabilities (e.g., messaging is disabled) and passwords are changed regularly to limit possible misuse.
